His research has been conducted at CNRS in Grenoble, France, under the supervision of Véronique Dansereau, the leader of the group working on sea ice rheology (WP2). The primary objective of Aurelien’s PhD has been to enhance the parametrization of the mechanical behavior of the granular sea ice in dense configuration at the gridscale. A new continuum model has been developed to predict the mechanical response of granular sea ice for both short and long time scales. Additionally, a novel coupling between these mesoscale parameters, pressure, and damage has been formulated as new state variables for granular media.
Good luck Aurélien!
